By Popular Demand...

I miss Jim Henson. I miss John Denver, too, but I miss his dedication to his ideals more than I miss him as a performer.

I just plain miss Jim Henson.

My kids have outgrown Sesame Street but for some reason the littlest was watching it yesterday.
I was out of the room and I could hear Bert and Ernie chatting and though Ernie sounded LIKE Ernie it really wasn't Ernie.
It saddens me that my children have never heard Kermit's or Fozzy or Ernie's REAL voice!

I saw John Denver perform at an ashram I was staying at...he was so amazing, so charming so REAL!

The Muppet Show was my favorite thing to watch as a child...well, of course, there was The Mandrell Sisters.

Hey! There's no Beaker in that version. That was always my favorite part.

Also missing from the mix is Beauregard the janitor, and Lew Zealand.

How much of a dork does it make me that I know their names?

Finally took the time to watch it-- I forgot how awesome that was!

I watched it with the kids.

MY cold grinchy heart is warming up and it might even grow two sizes larger...

(I'd be Fozzie, flubbing my lines!!!)

(The boy would be Animal!)

-_-

(the girl would be Kermit.)

Heidi's daughter, you have chosen wisely. Perhaps I should move my Santa Kermit to a higher spot in your honor.

I used to watch the muppet show a lot and I remember thinking, "Am I too old to like this so much?" Beaker was my favorite and I also liked how Chef was always throwing food around.
