January 20th, 2007, and it's our first trip to the slopes. Usually, we'd have been here three or four times by now.
No, there's no global warming, Mister Preznit.

Maybe global warming, but certainly no local warming down in Malibu.
Let's hope your future grandkids don't see those happy pictures some day and ask, "What's sledding, Grandpa?" . . . .
i want to go sledding with you guys!
while it's still possible.
Looks like fun! Wish I had been there!
Did you get that much snow or were those photos taking at a ski slope?
We got just enough so that all the really bad snow drivers got to put their flashers on in their SUVs and drive 10 mph up hill.
We certainly haven't gotten enough snow to sled. The ski industry near us is not doing well. I miss the snow. That's one of the reasons we moved back here from FL. I guess with Global Warming we're going to have to move further north, or as Jessica sugested, MUCH further south.
jess: unusual weather patterns globally are par for the course.
guy; amen
terry: to paraphrase a certain dork: and why don't you move east? huh?
miss: how are you with frozen fingers and toes?
X: the trick to snow is knowing where to look. There's a big 'bowl' in the park down the street from us. Leaves collect there by the millions in the fall. Same thing with snow in winter.
polanco: pretty much same thing here. last night I talked to Lt. Trouble in Vegas, and his temps were within ten degrees of ours.

I took three boys sledding on Saturday. It's the first day in months that my son, mr Gloom and Doom Science Face, didn't bitch about global warming.
I got one run down the hill for three of theirs. I'm slowing down in my old age.
Love the photos!!
i want to do some sledding. good reminder.
as for global warming. this should be the hell week of -40C in out neck of the woods.
it is a balmy -10C
remember - it's not greenhouse gasses - it's a natural cycle that has been going on for 5000 years and will correct itself
(5000 years since we began deforesting regions of the planet and will correct itself when the cockroaches rule the desert that's left)
