Father's Day

I took the kids to a ball game for Father's Day. Here's proof:

I think I saw about four innings of the game. However, we did get a hot dog, some pizza, some dippin' dots, a bloomin' onion, some french fries, four lemonades, three baseballs, batting gloves, the picture above, autographs, a chance to play catch on the outfield grass, and sunburns.

It was a good day.

And now, it's time to play:

IRONIC POP QUIZ!!!

As I parked my car Sunday morning on my way to a meeting, I noticed a teenaged boy riding his bike down the street. Although our state has mandatory bicycle helmet laws, this young man was riding his bike without a helmet. As he approached, I noticed that he was wearing a replica NFL jersey.

For 1,000 irony points, plus rain on your wedding day:

What player's name was on the back of his jersey?

Thanks, all. Yeah, the kids are cute. People tell me they look just like me. Luckily, on them it works.

Since you didn't get the name correct, colleen, you only get 500 points and a black fly in your chardonnay.

Stop by the house X, and I'll give ya all the points ya need.

Glad you had a great father's day! Baseball games are all about the eating and the atmosphere. Any exciting plays will be shown on the news if you miss them!

I wear a helmet on my motorcycle, but can't bring myself to wear one on a bicycle.

I feel bad for Ben and support his choice not to wear one. I dread hearing football commentators talk about the issue all seasom.

I really don't like having a helmet on, but I have bumped my head once or twice and can't really afford another concussion... nor can the world.

The voices in my head are telling me to spell check, but I'll show them.
